Noise control in a workshop / garage / rec room
If you need to reduce the sound level in a recreation room or a workshop, we recommend the installation of acoustic panels on the (entire) ceiling and on as much of the wall surface as possible.
For this purpose, we offer a range of sound-absorbing products designed to meet various additional requirements in terms of design, stability, fire safety and robustness. Of course, you can combine different products on walls and ceiling to achieve an optimum effect.
As a general rule, panels with a thickness between 25 and 30 mm provide absorption capability across a sufficiently wide frequency band. Materials of 50 mm thickness add extra absorption efficiency at lower frequencies. The sound-insulating effect can be boosted by fixing the panels not directly on the wall/ceiling, but on a grid of 2-cm laths.
