soni PORTA
Effective and comfortable door insulation with soni PORTAEarsplittingly loud music from your teenager's room, bothersome noise from the hallway, loud phone conversations from the adjacent office, lack of discretion in treatment rooms - wherever closed doors are supposed to provide undisturbed quiet, our door insulation kit is the ideal solution for effective noise reduction. Our soni PORTA solution consists of six precisely fitting elements that form an attractive pattern and are simply glued to the door using the two included installation aids (8 and 10 mm) and our easy-to-understand installation instructions. Thanks to our unique, protected self-adhesive solution, you can remove soni PORTA again from smooth surfaces without leaving any residue, if necessary, for instance when moving out.Elegantly shaped cutouts for the door handle, on the left or right as needed, complete the sophisticated design.Depending on the application, the material has to be mounted either on the inside or on the outside of the door. For this reason, soni PORTA has been designed in two standard heights. It is important to install the door insulation material always on the side of the noise source.soni PORTA is suitable for the sound insulation of any room door with rebate - in private homes as well as in day-care centers, kindergartens, schools, medical facilities, offices, hotels, banks, etc.The soni PORTA elements are made of a combination of two highly effective acoustic materials: a heavy layer and an acoustic foam layer. The heavy layer on the underside of soni PORTA is glued directly to the door leaf, increasing its mass and thus the overall sound insulation effect of the door. The visible side consists of an acoustic foam layer covered with an attractive felt material. The foam’s open cells absorb sound energy. The robust and dirt-repellent felt surface is available in 8 trendy colors. The edges of the elements can be masked with our soni VLD adhesive tape, if desired. For ordering the soundproofing set that fits your door, you will need the outer dimensions of the door leaf. Please measure the width and height of your door leaf on the outside, i.e. on the side in the direction in which your door opens. Please note: If the gap between the door leaf and the floor is too wide, we recommend mounting a door sweep or a door bottom seal. Only when all gaps and openings around the door are closed, perfect soundproofing is possible.

Our soni PROTECT R sound-insulation panel is a high-quality recycling product based on melamine resin. What makes soni PROTECT R so special is its excellent sound-absorption and sound-insulation capacity, which allows for effective sound-transmission prevention. When mounted in the empty space behind a curtain wall or false ceiling, soni PROTECT R minimizes the propagation of noise, vibration and resonances – for improved sound insulation of partitions, walls and ceilings. This puts an effective stop to the transmission of ambient noise or annoyingly loud sounds from neighboring apartments. Advice on building a curtain wall:For a curtain wall, dowel wooden laths of 30 or 50 mm thickness to the wall. Ideally, an elastic layer is placed between the wall and the laths to prevent sound bridges. Our soni NBR sealing tape is the ideal solution for such an elastic mounting. Then insert our sound-absorber product soni PROTECT R in the empty spaces between the laths and cover them with plaster boards or particle boards screwed to the laths. For even more effective sound absorption, soni PROTECT R can be mounted on the wooden laths (30 mm) instead of being applied directly on the wall. The resulting air gap acts as an extra sound insulation. To optimize the curtain wall you can "decouple" the plaster board / particle board from the floor and ceiling as well as the adjacent walls by filling the edge joints with acrylic. For an example of a curtain wall construction for noise insulation purposes, please see the testimonial "Neighbors / Curtain Walling”.

Our soni RESIST noise protection panel consists of closed-cell polyethylene foam with both sound-insulating and sound-absorbing properties. Its closed-cell structure makes soni RESIST especially suitable for applications where it may come into contact with moisture or humidity. The extremely robust and impact-resistant sound-insulation material does not constitute a medium for microorganism growth and can be wet-cleaned if necessary.  soni RESIST is flame-retardant according to DIN 4102, as proven under B1 test conditions. Therefore the product is an excellent noise-control solution wherever you need to reduce the sound level with materials that meet strict fire safety regulations. The optional self-adhesive rear face facilitates the installation of the panels. When mounted overhead or on uneven surfaces, (additional) mechanical fixation is required.

How does sound insulation work

Sound insulation prevents the propagation of airborne sound or structure-borne sound into adjacent rooms. It is specified as the weighted sound reduction index Rw in dB. With sound insulation, sound is deflected by reflections in other directions, thus reducing the sound intensity in the direction of propagation. The result is impressive. Noise is significantly reduced and speech quality is improved.

Sound insulation for various applications

Sound insulation is needed in almost all rooms. Not only in workshops, production halls or living rooms. Sound insulation should not be forgotten outdoors either, in order to protect oneself and neighbors from too much noise.

Sound insulation in damp rooms

At soniflex, we offer our customers special acoustic panels that can be used for damp rooms or in wet conditions. soni RESIST is a closed-cell and very robust acoustic foam made of high-quality polyethylene. Due to its low water absorption capacity, it is mainly recommended for damp rooms. Sound can no longer spread sufficiently and noise in rooms is noticeably reduced.

Sound insulation outdoors

Whether caused by noisy children in the neighborhood, traffic in front of the house or compressors, a heat pump as well as other devices, if you want to relax in your garden, you should also take care of a good sound insulation here. For this purpose, we offer UV-stable and weather-resistant soundproofing products. You will also find suitable solutions for the insulation of equipment enclosures at soniflex.

Sound insulation in drywall construction

Subsequent insulation for ceilings and walls in drywall construction is also no problem with soniflex products. If you want to retrofit sound insulation measures between apartments or terraced houses, you are well advised to build up a facing shell with our soni PROTECT R. With the right sound insulation or the right insulation to the neighbor, you will finally enjoy the peace and quiet you deserve in your apartment in the future. Because even in apartments, there are many other options for insulation in addition to impact sound insulation for the impact sound on the floor.

Sandwich panels for sound insulation

Consisting of several layers, our sandwich panels provide effective sound insulation. With excellent sound-insulating and sound-absorbing properties, soni COMPOSITE offers many convincing advantages. Universally applicable, this product is suitable almost everywhere where the sound level is to be reduced and sound insulation is also important. In addition to soni COMPOSITE, soni SB 700 also belongs to the category of sandwich panels for sound insulation.

Sound insulation with soniflex

Do you want to insulate different areas and reduce both airborne sound and structure-borne sound? There are different measures for this. At soniflex you will always find the right products for different areas, with which sound insulation is finally no longer a problem.
