Mechanical devices and machines often are the source of structure-borne noise. Examples include motors, pumps, compressors and ventilation systems. These devices generate vibrations that are transmitted through their housings and then spread into the surroundings in the form of audible sound. Underneath is a quilted glass fibre mat that provides both excellent thermal insulation and effective sound absorption. soni 1116 ALG thus combines heat protection, thermal insulation and sound absorption in a single product – ideal for use in vehicles, machines and industrial plants. The acoustic foam with sound-permeable foil ensures optimum sound absorption, while the bitumen layer effectively insulates and blocks sound. This intelligent combination of materials combines both sound insulation and sound absorption properties in a single product – ideal for anyone who wants to effectively reduce noise and create a quieter environment. Areas of application – versatile, efficient and reliable soni 491 STL is used wherever noise and sound transmission needs to be reduced – for example: ✔ Wall insulation between neighbouring flats ✔ Partition walls or ceilings in apartment buildings ✔ Technical rooms, machine rooms or workshops ✔ Cellars, garages and house walls The sound insulation board is ideal for retrofitting existing walls or ceilings with sound insulation – for example, by constructing a facing shell or cladding partition walls. Decoupling & joint sealing: Separate the construction from the floor, ceiling and adjacent walls with a small gap and seal the joints with acrylate for maximum insulation performance. Alternative with visible surface: soni COMPOSITE If plasterboard cladding is too costly for you, we recommend our soni COMPOSITE as an alternative. soni COMFORT is a very hard-wearing sound absorber made of a white PES non-woven fabric with exceptionally good sound-absorption capacity. In addition, soni COMFORT offers excellent fire-resistance values. soni COMFORT has been tested successfully according to the DIN 4102 fire safety standard and is classified as fire-retardant (B1). Therefore it is the material of choice for all applications requiring both an effective noise reduction and full compliance with fire safety regulations. When used as a ceiling element, soni COMFORT also fulfills the impact-resistance requirements according to DIN 18032-3 and is ideally suited for use in sports facilities and gymnasiums. What is more, soni COMFORT is aging-resistant, free of mineral fibers and physiologically perfectly safe. All this makes soni COMFORT a true all-rounder for effective sound-conditioning measures in a wide variety of room types. For covering entire wall or ceiling surfaces we recommend using soni COMFORT F.
