What is the soni HELIX Set?

The soni HELIX Set is a complete mounting system for securely attaching acoustic panels, baffles or lightweight ceiling elements. It consists of spiral hooks, stainless steel cables and decorative ceiling pieces – ideal for visually appealing installations with high stability.


How does installation with the soni HELIX Set work?

Installation is simple:
1. Carefully screw the Helix spiral hook into the acoustic panel.
2. Attach the stainless steel cable with the decorative element to the ceiling.
3. Adjust the height individually using the adjustable cable holder.

This creates a secure and visually discreet suspension for your acoustic elements.

Note: The soni HELIX set is suitable for absorbers made of PUR, PE and melamine foam. The set is only suitable to a limited extent for fleece products such as soni COMFORT or soni COLOR RD, as the twisted spiral hook can tear out of the soft fleece material if the load is too high.


How much weight can the soni HELIX set hold?

The soni HELIX system is designed for light to medium loads and can hold up to 15 kg per mounting point, depending on the surface. For particularly heavy items, additional mechanical securing is recommended.


How is the soni HELIX set installed?

The spiral hooks are screwed into the acoustic baffles. The steel cable is simply hooked in and can be adjusted in height using the hinge wings.


Is the set suitable for visible installations?

Yes, the decorative pieces ensure a clean and elegant look – perfect for open-plan concepts.


Can I also use the HELIX set for sloping ceilings?

Yes, as long as the fixing points are stable, installation on sloping surfaces is also possible.


Is the HELIX set reusable?

Yes, all components can be dismantled and reused.


How many HELIX sets do I need per acoustic element?

For vertically suspended baffles with a standard size of 1000 x 500 mm, 2 HELIX mounting hooks are usually sufficient, while for horizontally suspended baffles, 4 mounting hooks are necessary for secure and even installation.

Our soni SPECIAL ADHESIVE is an ideal adhesive for spot and full-surface fixation of sound-insulation materials and acoustic elements made of open-cell foam, especially melamine and PUR foams. The solvent-free, stable soni SPECIAL ADHESIVE provides excellent adherence to typical building materials, such as concrete, plaster, masonry, cement and wood. With the elastoplastic, single-component polymer adhesive, our open-cell foam panels can be glued directly to the wall or ceiling. Our soni SPECIAL ADHESIVE is available in 310-ml-cartridges, in sets of 6 or 12 cartridges. Please note: soni SPECIAL ADHESIVE is not suitable for PE foams such as soni RESIST. Keep out of reach of children!

And, as a last step, cover the tip of the steel pin with the protective cap. Out soni PROTECT noise absorber is made from an open-cell melamine foam (Basotect®) with outstanding sound-absorption capacity. Use soni PROTECT to significantly improve the acoustic conditions in interior spaces. With soni PROTECT acoustic panels fixed to ceilings and walls, your room will be much less reverberant.  soni PROTECT has been tested successfully according to European as well as German fire safety standards and can therefore be used wherever you need to reduce the noise level with materials that meet strict fire safety regulations. What is more, soni PROTECT is aging-resistant, free of mineral fibers and physiologically perfectly safe. All in all, an absolute classic for optimizing acoustics conditions in buildings. For edge-to-edge installation we recommend using soni PROTECT F. Ordering acoustic panels from soniflex Our soni RESIST noise protection panel consists of closed-cell polyethylene foam with both sound-insulating and sound-absorbing properties. Its closed-cell structure makes soni RESIST especially suitable for applications where it may come into contact with moisture or humidity. The extremely robust and impact-resistant sound-insulation material does not constitute a medium for microorganism growth and can be wet-cleaned if necessary. soni RESIST is flame-retardant according to DIN 4102, as proven under B1 test conditions. Therefore the product is an excellent noise-control solution wherever you need to reduce the sound level with materials that meet strict fire safety regulations.
