soni COLOR RD – Acoustic inserts for grid ceilings soni COLOR RD is our high-quality acoustic insert for grid ceilings measuring 620 x 620 mm, which can be easily inserted into existing suspended standard grid ceilings or Odenwald ceilings (OWA). The elements consist of a sound-absorbing white polyester fleece, laminated with a thin, mottled felt surface in current trend colours. They thus combine aesthetic design and effective sound absorption in one product. Grid ceilings – function and advantages Grid ceilings consist of inserts in a supporting grid and are mainly used in offices, schools, medical practices, restaurants and public buildings. They enable flexible room design, easy access to cables and the integration of lighting, ventilation or acoustic elements. soni COMFORT is a very hard-wearing sound absorber made of a white PES non-woven fabric with exceptionally good sound-absorption capacity. In addition, soni COMFORT offers excellent fire-resistance values. soni COMFORT has been tested successfully according to the DIN 4102 fire safety standard and is classified as fire-retardant (B1). Therefore it is the material of choice for all applications requiring both an effective noise reduction and full compliance with fire safety regulations. When used as a ceiling element, soni COMFORT also fulfills the impact-resistance requirements according to DIN 18032-3 and is ideally suited for use in sports facilities and gymnasiums. What is more, soni COMFORT is aging-resistant, free of mineral fibers and physiologically perfectly safe. All this makes soni COMFORT a true all-rounder for effective sound-conditioning measures in a wide variety of room types. For covering entire wall or ceiling surfaces we recommend using soni COMFORT F. While soni COMFORT has plain edges, soni COMFORT F has beveled edges all around (10 x 10 mm), creating a beautiful visual effect when installed edge to edge. Additional advantage: The resulting pattern helps conceal any uneven patches on the ceiling or wall. If necessary, soni COMFORT and soni COMFORT F can be cut to the desired size and shape with a carpet knife or a keyhole saw with a blade suited to cutting soft materials. soni COMPOSITE sound insulation mat – effective sound insulation and sound absorption in one product The soni COMPOSITE sound insulation mat from soniflex is a highly effective combination of sound insulation and sound absorption. This acoustic product consists of a heavy plastic film (soni EVA) and high-quality acoustic foam with a decorative felt surface. This intelligent combination of materials reduces both airborne and structure-borne noise, resulting in a noticeable reduction in noise levels – ideal for use in living spaces, offices, workshops or technical facilities. Double effect – sound absorption & sound insulation While the soni EVA heavy-duty film reliably reduces sound penetration, the open-pored acoustic foam layer absorbs the sound within the room. This dampens the noise at its source and prevents it from spreading – a real advantage over single-layer materials. Easy processing & secure installation Processing soni COMPOSITE is straightforward and does not require any special tools: ✔ The mat can be cut to size precisely using a craft knife or scissors. ✔ The self-adhesive backing serves as an installation aid – however, mechanical fastening (e.g. screws, press studs or strips) is recommended for permanent attachment,     especially on vertical surfaces or for ceiling installation. ✔ Ensure that the substrate is dry, dust-free and smooth to ensure optimum adhesion. If necessary, you can cut soni COMPOSITE to the desired size with a craft knife. The self-adhesive backing serves as an installation aid. Tip: To create a clean finish at the joints, you can cover them with a wooden strip (8–10 cm wide) – this ensures a neat appearance and provides additional support. Out soni PROTECT noise absorber is made from an open-cell melamine foam (Basotect®) with outstanding sound-absorption capacity. Use soni PROTECT to significantly improve the acoustic conditions in interior spaces. With soni PROTECT acoustic panels fixed to ceilings and walls, your room will be much less reverberant.  soni PROTECT has been tested successfully according to European as well as German fire safety standards and can therefore be used wherever you need to reduce the noise level with materials that meet strict fire safety regulations. What is more, soni PROTECT is aging-resistant, free of mineral fibers and physiologically perfectly safe. All in all, an absolute classic for optimizing acoustics conditions in buildings. For edge-to-edge installation we recommend using soni PROTECT F. It consists of the same material as soni PROTECT, but has beveled edges all around, which make for very neat joints and an attractive surface design while actually helping conceal any uneven patches in the ceiling or wall surface. Please note: We do not recommend soni PROTECT for use on wall areas that are liable to be hit or touched, as the sound insulation panels are sensitive to mechanical stress. soni PROTECT and soni PROTECT F can easily be cut to the desired size with a carpet knife.
