Mass law
Mass law or Berger’s law (see his doctoral thesis, 1911) describes the relationship between sound insulation effectivity, mass per unit area and sound frequency. According to this acoustic law, the sound insulation effect of a wall increases by 6 dB with each doubling of the wall's mass or of the sound's frequency.
